Guideline Konkagorva Conehead Flies (Cohn Odea)

Reach for KonkagorvaĀ pattern as water is starting to stabilise after a flood. A great choice when you want to get a fly deep down & dirty. When the water is beer coloured /brown stained and starting to clear this pattern gets the job done. Hooks size 8/10 doubles & trebles Duration March –September.

Konkagorva fly is tied with top quality materials and features Future Fly brass Hybrid cones in Metallic Orange. 5 cm wing length (1 cm - 3/8ā€ tube) fly has 4mm cone head and 8 cm fly (2 cm - 4/5ā€ tube) has 6mm. Flies are tied on tubes with enough room inside for you to push the tube hook into the tube if you prefer that rather than a free swinging hook.

Cornelius ODea is Head Ghillie at Taymount on the River Tay in Scotland. Guideline Ambassador Cohn has fished for salmon extensively across the UK and internationally. His ability to read salmon rivers and his understanding of salmon behavior is second to none and this has led to the creation of his unique signature range of salmon flies. Every pattern has been thoroughly proven and tested over many years resulting in a selection you can fish with total confidence throughout the season on your chosen river.
